About the authors
Leanne Boase BN, MN(NP), MHSc(Ed)
Leanne has over 20 years experience working in health, including working as a Practice Nurse, Practice Manager, and subsequently as a consultant setting up practices, more recently building and running her own Medical Centre.
She is a Nurse Practitioner specialising in critical care/emergency, and paediatric eczema and asthma. Leanne is currently a Business and Development Consultant with Prime Medical Property Group, of which she is a principle, working on construction, design, and business projects of all sizes. She runs her own clinical practice across four sites in Melbourne. She was awarded Fellowship of the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners in 2016.
Dr. Grace Lai MBBS(Hons), B.Inf Tech(Dist.)
Dr. Grace Lai is Founder and Managing Director of Periop Partners, which provides education, software and services to health practices to deliver seamless and efficient healthcare.
Grace graduated with a Bachelor of Information Technology (Distinction) from the Co-op Scholarship program at the University of Technology, Sydney in 2001 and graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) from the University of Sydney in 2008. Prior to medical training, she undertook senior roles in market analysis, marketing and sales operations for the Australian and Asia / Pacific (incl Japan) companies. She started her own medical services business in 2015.
